I can still remember way back when adidas ClimaCool® was first introduced in the market and it was all the rage.  Even non-athletes would wear them.  Ventilated shoes, what will they think of next, right?  But it turned out to be a stroke of genius–intense and rigorous movement tend to produce high temperature and gets intensely uncomfortable.  Think of these shoes as a bottle of ice cold water for cooling down, or even better, since these are getting the brunt of all the action and friction.

This April, adidas is coming out with the new ClimaCool® Ride for Spring/Summer 2011.  It features 360-degrees ventilation and improved breathability through its perforated sockliner and non-woven fabric for the lining.  According to studies conducted by adidas, ClimaCool^® reduces in-shoe moisture by 20% and foot temperature by 12% which makes them especially helpful for runners and marathoners.

It doesn’t hurt, too that they’ve come out with the hottest hues this time around (I’m can’t decide which color I like better–the hot pink, yellow-kung-yellow or vibrant red.  I suppose the yellow one would be the coolest for midnight runs!).  And well, there’s always black if you’re not one for color.
