The Reluctant Stylista

Many beauty bloggers might say that Human Nature (or Human Heart Nature) products are a hit or miss thing.  I continue patronizing them for three main reasons: 1) they’re organic, 2) they’re cheap and 3) they’re a local business that helps keep workers from Gawad Kalinga employed.  You may notice that these reasons don’t cite anything about quality of product.  As I said, HN has hits and misses, but for me, they have more than enough hits to keep me satisfied.

Consider this night moisturizer one of their biggest hits yet, in my opinion.

Human Nature Night Moisturizer with Royal Jelly and Aloe Vera

I never really got the concept of a moisturizer formulated for nighttime use until I tried Human Nature’s Night Moisturizer Royal Jelly & Aloe Vera.  I’ve tried water-based/oil-free moisturizers with really light formulation and those without SPF since it’s not needed.  Note that I have oily-combination skin.  I usually woke up with a face greasy from sleep, but I thought that was natural and unavoidable.

Not so with this one.  I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up with just soft skin and a face that was almost grease-free.  The only exception was my nose part, but that’s always oily with me.  It wasn’t even as oily as usual after using this product, so I consider this a success.  I didn’t expect it at all, because the moisturizer was really thick and dense, and it was kind of heavy on my face upon first application.  It was absorbed by my skin after a while, though, so I didn’t mind it at all afterward.  If you’re really oily though, you might want to take note of this.

Human Nature moisturizer consistency

For those who dislike scents on their moisturizer, this one smells like royal jelly.  It’s not irritating to me at all, and it’s not a strong smell anyway.  Take note that some people may not take kindly to royal jelly, but for those who are, you’re in luck!  This particular ingredient has a lot of amino acids and nutrients that are good for our skin (and body in general, which is why some people eat it. Royal jelly, that is, not this moisturizer).  It’s rich, and perfect for night time because that’s when skin recuperates best.

Will I repurchase? Definitely!  It’s P99.75 for a 50ml tube, and that’s cheap.  For the US market, it’s $6.99.  There’s nothing I don’t like about this product.  It even comes in a sanitary tube.

Will I try other night moisturizers? Maybe.  But being organic, cheap AND effective, this is going to be very hard to beat.  To make me switch, the next product will need to be all three and more.

It’s also available to buyers from the USA.  Look for your nearest dealer or shop online.

Good for you1 I love HHN’s shampoos and conditioners :)

PS: Your Xmas gift’s still here. I heard you ate my cookies *hmph*

    • Alex says:

The cookies wouldn’t have been good na if I gave them to you in January! xD I’ll just treat you out for dessert next time we meet, haha!

Hi Alex, this is my current night moisturizer too, but only because the weather has been cool lately. As much as I love the soft feel in the morning, and I’m an organic gaga too, it’s just too thick for me to use on hot, humid days. I used the old day mositurizer formulation which is lighter, sayang they discontinued na. But kudos to HHN for bringing organic to general public. =)

My alternative moisturizer for nighttime use is Celeteque, but I still like this better. For some reason, I always wake up with a non-greasy face with this, and not even Celeteque with its very light formula (which really just feels like water on my face) can do.

      • Dang says:

I’ve used Celeteque also, not bad, but you’re right, the softness of the skin in the morning doesn’t come close with HHN’s no? Must be the royal jelly. =)

This is going to be my next night moisturizer. Hehe. A 100-peso thing that works is definitely a keeper.

    • Alex says:

I love it! I know a few reviews on their website say it’s heavy, but it’s really only upon application and it’s just absorbed after that! I love my soft skin in the morning, without the grease. Never felt that with other moisturizers used at night.

  5. I love all Human Nature Products, and because of addiction, I ended up being a dealer. I also like to support their advocacy. :)

I’m probably applying too much of it so it feels heavy on my skin. Thank you Ms. Alex for your tip.

  6. Patti David says:

    I love their make-up remover!

    • Alex says:

Really? I still don’t love their make-up remover, but it’s an okay option for me. I’m trying their sunflower oil though, I think it’s better than their white makeup remover.

  7. Did you buy online or at a store? :)

  8. Alex says:

Bought it online…but they’re also available in stalls in Glorietta, Trinoma, Market Market. :D

  9. carla says:

very nice .. where can i buy this kaya dito sa davao ? :(

  10. Nick says:

my only concern though is that I work at night and sleep in the morning. so when am I going to apply this on.?? :(

    • Alex says:

Use a light day cream instead. This might be a little heavy for you. It’s warmer during the day and colder during the night, and you’re most likely to oil when you’re warm.

      • Nick says:

any suggestion for a light day moisturizer.? I”m using Olay’s natural white day lotion for over a year and it has SPF. ndi nmn sya expensive but I wanted to use organic sana. :)

  11. Cammille Graff says:

I put the Olive Night Creme (from Made from Earth) on an night and immediately feel my face more moisturized. In the morning my face also feels softer, smoother and not as tired as the days when I do not use it. it has really worked for me!!! it is non greasy and my fine lines are not as noticeably. I do think this is a great product.

  12. ANONY says:

I am about to try that (the image above) moisturizer so I asked my mum to order it from her friend and what her friend gave her was the 100% NATURAL MOISTURIZING NIGHT CREAM. Ugh! Maybe my mum just said “night moisturizer” and gave her this 100% blahblah. I also have no idea that they have other night moisturizing products.
Anyway, do you know if this-100% NATURAL MOISTURIZING NIGHT CREAM- different from the NIGHT MOISTURIZER ROYAL JELLY & ALOE VERA??? What’s the difference?
    Thanks!
