Welcome to LeBunny Bleu, the land of the cutest flats you ever did see. I tell you, I fell in love the moment I stepped foot into LeBunny Bleu’s store in Shangri-La. This is high praise, coming from a girl who so loves her high heels! How can I not? Have you seen these beauties? In my mind, I can see a modern Audrey Hepburn trotting around in LeBunny Bleu pairs.
I was naturally drawn to these, because SHINY
I must admit I have been curious about this shop for a while. The store and the displays are very arresting, quite kawaii–and despite how I look (and dress) now, I was once a Sailor Moon fan girl. Naturally, I have a soft spot for the kawaii. But these shoes are even better because they’re quite chic, too! I had such a hard time deciding what to take home with me, but in the end, I decided that if I were to wear flats, they might as well be a classic pair: Oxfords. This one has a sporty twist! Notice the details.
I got it in half a size larger than my usual, because I’ve learned my lesson with closed shoes. Also, I have an affinity for white apparel–even though I’m not a very neat person, and I always end up with scuff marks on my shoes or food stains on my shirt. But no matter!
Sidenote: I also got to take home a cute freebie–a mug exclusively designed by local watercolor artist Arlene Sy. Isn’t it adorable? It’s what I used for my first cup of Bulletproof coffee.
Now back to the shoes. Another thing that really impressed me with their footwear? They’re quite well-made but oh-so-lightweight. And they don’t just make cute espadrilles and Oxfords: they make boots, too!
I very nearly went for these but they’re serious winter boots, and I’m not travelling to a snowy country any time soon.
One more thing to love about LeBunny Bleu: I was surprised at how affordable it was, considering the designs and craftsmanship. Most pairs were average of 1500-2500php (or maybe because I chanced on a sale?). As I mentioned before, most styles are ultra kawaii, so most people mistake LeBunny Bleu to be a Korean or Japanese design–but it’s actually from New York, with designs that were inspired by a bit of effortless European styling. Their signature shoes include the Oxfords, loafers (classic!), ballet flats, sandals and sneakers.
They’re currently having a warehouse sale this weekend at The World Trade Center and you definitely don’t want to miss it! Aaaand, they also have the Happy Hour promo for this month of October! Follow them on Facebook to get updates.
