The Reluctant Stylista

“‘Wag n’yo na i-plastic.”

I call it responsible shopping when I take out my eco bag and dump my purchases in them instead of having the clerks bag it.  Nowadays, I’ve gotten used to it.  When a store provides a paper bag, that’s fine with me (since I can’t seem to run out of uses for such), but when they only have plastic, it’s a different story.  I usually have about two eco bags rolled up in my handbag for such occasions and they’ve saved me many times from having to lug tacky plastic bags.  A lot of people use them for groceries, but they’re also perfect for storing change of clothes, shoes and carrying my books or styling stuff (I call my biggest eco bag my styling kit lite).

I was fortunate enough to have been given a new eco bag to use at last Saturday’s Brown Bag Market from Envirosax.  And I was pretty happy to see that the selection they showed us bloggers to choose from were quite bright and colorful!  I picked this yellow one, Dogasaurus.  It immediately caught my eye, though I thought about the pink one which was Piggy in the Middle.  Verns got to it first, though, so it was an easy decision to make from then on.

My Envirosax from the Brown Bag Market

I found out that this is actually a bag from their Envirosax Kids series.  I checked out the official website, and I think the Kids series has my favorite designs over all!  Just check these from their 2010 Kids line:

I love how colorful and whimsical the designs are!  If I get one for Christmas, I have no complaints.  Add Envirosax Philippines on Facebook to see where else you can score one of these cute bags.  Locally, they’re distributed by Zolo Enterprises. For inquiries, you can call 5706996 or email them.

  1. How nice! I also skip on the plastic bag actually…but sometimes it can’t be helped. I just carry it in my bag. These are cute!!

Those designs are adorable!!! I especially like the Carousel. I love the idea of using eco bags…but I keep forgetting my eco bags at home.

Keep something rolled up in your bag so you don’t forget! They’re especially useful if you have unplanned purchases or excess luggage for the day, always better than plastic (unless we don’t have trash bags left at home, haha).

Lovely post. I like your opening line. Its what I say now when I purchase items. I even did that at National Bookstore and my sister thought I was weird LOL.

Haha really? I always do that, be it 7-11, National Bookstore, Landmark, whatever. The only exceptions are wet groceries and sometimes shoes when the boxes are too big.
