I know about Bauhaus and Kickers, though I’ve never really checked out their stuff before. Which is curious, because upon closer inspection, these brands fit my kind of style. I love that whole trendy-but-not-really and model-off-duty looks even though I’m almost never really a model-on-duty (HAH). You get what I mean. I like ensembles that look effortless…but chic, okay, not pambahay effortless.
Bauhaus has been around since 1991, and has brands like 80/20, Salad, tough and Cheap Monday. I got my FAVORITE, best-fitting pants ever from Cheap Monday, at this event! So awesome. I know I proclaimed something similar before with Levi’s Curve ID and Oxygen (well, it wasn’t actually a perfect fit since the waistline was big, but it was a good fit everywhere else) but now Cheap Monday takes the cake for me. Unless they’re high-waisted ones like Oxygen’s, I’ve lost my taste for blue denim pants nowadays.
These pants have a nice painted sort of pattern in monochrome. It’s not camo, it just looks like it from afar.
Yellow ombre shirt: Oxygen / Necklace: Chocolate / Pants: Cheap Monday / Shoes: Rossana Pena / Lippie: MAC Viva Glam I (gorgeous red lipstick for the lazy!) Thank you Krissy for the photos!
The event Art + Sole was a preview of the collaboration between Bauhaus and Kickers at The Rocket Room last November 8. I’ve always been curious about The Rocket Rooom since I like eating at Stella’s. They have grrreeeaaat drinks! Of course, the food was fab, too, but the drinks really hit the spot for me.
Kickers is now also available at all Bauhaus branches (Trinoma, Shangri-La, Alabang Town Center and in Abreeza – Davao). Okay, I wish we had the climate for fur and leather, but whatever. I still love this collection.
Check out the denim and the lovely prints! Urban streetwear. <3
Krissy and I were eyeing this hot pink leather jacket
The boots! You know I’ve never been shy with boots. I’m a huge fan of Doc Martens. But my pair is the oxblood vintage edition so the leather is really thick and heavy. I was so surprised when I lifted these babies–they’re real leather and yet they’re so light! I haven’t tried my pair yet but I’m excited. I couldn’t make up my mind what to take home with me! I’m a big fan of brown leather, but I figured since my DMs are already a brownish red, I might go for a bluish gray this time.
Kickers also has an awesome tagline for their A/W 2012 collection: Grow Up, Don’t Grow Old. Kickers is available in SM Megamall, The Block, selected Bratpack stores, all Res|Toe|Run outlets and major department stores nationwide.
I came home with these babies:
