My roommate and I are having this dilemma. She needs to slim down and I’m always tired. We both agreed we need cardio and exercise (even though sometimes my work already entails walking the whole day, back and forth Glorietta and Greenbelt) but I think we’ve been saying that for over a month now and we still haven’t visited the gym downstairs.
I actually miss getting into sports, but I don’t know if I have time for it nowadays. And I’ve been telling my roomie that we ought to run marathons as motivation at least. If you’re anything like us, you ought to be lemming for the right shoes to begin with. (My feet are often dead tired at the end of the day and I’m developing more calluses! I’ve even deigned to wear flats to work more often but I’m still tired).
The newly launched tech-lifestyle footwear from adidas last March 1 is something that’s definitely worth checking out. They’ve improved the designs for their Mega Torison and Mega Soft Cell lines–perfect transition footwear from athletic to street style.
The Mega Soft Cell, was created in the 80s for high impact sports like basketball and running. Now, there’s Mega Soft Cell Lite, which has a lighter weight and improved cushioning. I want to test these out especially in that gait analysis thing I tried out in Runnr before, because they have certain specifics I want to look into before choosing my type:
“Key styles for the upcoming season include the Mega Soft Cell RL (RL = Run Lite) that features this new Soft Cell execution as well as the Mega Soft Cell RH (RH = Run Heel) and Mega Soft Cell BHL (BHL = Back Heel Low), which takes the same technology that was introduced in Fall/Winter with the Mega Soft Cell RF (RF = Run Full) and places it specifically in the heel to give a maximum of heel comfort but a more traditional forefoot look.”
The Mega Torison was made for stability through rigidity. The torisonal rigidity of the shoes guides the foot through repetitive foot strikes and the new torison for 2011 have improved designs that offer even more comfort and a variety of styles.
(Actually, if there’s something to get me excited about exercise, they’re new shoes. Even if it won’t guarantee that it’ll last. Let’s see how long I will last this time, though, since the major reason for my tie-up with adidas was to really push me into getting fit, haha! Will post reviews of these shoes soon so you can get better acquainted with them.)
The adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2011 MEGA Soft Cell Lite and MEGA Torison collections will be available for Php 3,695 – 4,695 in the following adidas Original’s Corners at adidas Mall of Asia, Greenbelt3, Trinoma, Rockwell, Ayala Center Cebu, Glorietta, Robinson’s Place Ermita and Eastwood.Related posts:
